Catherine is the main character of the book RuLeS. She has an annoying sibling she loves. So do I, three actually. She expresses her feelings and loves, art and music. I love having my music on in my room while I draw or read or even do homework. She also has a mom who is usually at home and a dad that is always late, same here. Catherine has a friend next door just like me.
We do have some differences though. She has one brother I have three. She lives by a lake. She has her own room also; I wish I had my own room! Catherine has guinea pigs I don’t, I have a dog, and two cats. One more difference is she has to fix everything for her brother. I’m lucky that my siblings are careful with their stuff.
Yes, all of those exclaimation points deserve it! This spring break will be the best one ever!!!
This spring break I am going to see my new cousin! Hannah Jane Miller! I am so excited to also go to my cousin's birthday too!! It's funny because my sister has a birthday too, sheis turning eight.I also might do some gymnastics in open gym,how fun!! I might even go down to Shipshewana!! There is shaved ice and a candy store, waterpark, EVERYTHING!!! I'd have to say, meeting my cousin, Hannah Jane.
Chicago was a blast! We visited so many exhibits! First, we visited the ancient America's and saw many things like, the Mayas, or Aztecs. Next, we visited the ancient Egypt and had a tour. He told us of their culture and showed us some creepy mummy stuff..... Then we saw the rock hall and saw a huge dinosaur, Sue! Sue is the first t-rex together! It was huge...
The Shedd aquarium was an amazing sight! We saw scuba divers swimming with, sea turtles, fish, and sting rays. We saw an amazing Aquatic Show. They had them do tricks including dolphins and beluga whales! That was amazing!
Let me say, this is and will always be my favorite field trip!
I can't wait till the chicago field trip this Friday. I can't wait to see all the animals and ancient exhibits. I am excited about the mummies and science!!!! I'm ecspecially excited about the ancient history.
1) If you get caught tell the truth or later on you'll get in big trouble. I chose this because nobody likes getting in trouble.
2) If someone says maybe, don't get excited, because it means either or. I chose this because after getting so excited, you just get more sad when it's a no.
3) Don't ever trust strangers. I chose this because anyone you don't know could be a dangerous person.
4) Make two emails instead of one. This is because you get alot ofads and facebook stuff or whatever on one and the other can be for friends.
5) Always follow rules and thing. This is because these will really get you through childhood.
Bud is an african american foster child who moves to homes that treat him very horribly. He had to face his mom dying,to sleep in a shed and live as a foster child. On top of all that he is treated to a horrible home. I am unlike and like Bud in many ways. First some similarities. One is that I fight with siblings like he does with his foster siblings. Two is he likes music and posters, like me. He faces troubles also like me. He has a "brother". I have a brother too. He is also very unlike me. First of all I'm not a boy, I'm a girl. Next, I am not a foster child either.He also has a suitcase, you see I have a school bag not a suit case. After that, is he is african american not me. Lastly, he doesn't have a nice family or friends, but I have LOTS!
I chose for this assignment to do a text- to - self. I chose Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix book character, Luna Lovegood. I am like Luna by the way she looks at things. She is always on the positive side of things. She is very easy to trust for secrets or problems you need help with. You can always back her up because she would do that for you too!
J.K Rowlingor Joanne Kathleen was born in July 1965 in England. She became researcher after graduating. She started the Harry Potter series when her train was delayed for a long time. After that she became a teacher to teach english as a foriegn language. During that she got married and had her daughter Jessica in 1993. She got divorced she and Jessica went to the U.K. which then the Harry Potter series and The philosopher's stone series was completed. Jo got remarried to Dr.Neil Murray in 2001, a brother for Jessica, David was born in 2003. A sister, Mckenzie in 2005. She also wrote, Quditch through the ages, Tales of Beetle the Bard, Fantastic Beasts and where to find them!
C.S Lewisis a author of many books. He was born in Belfast, Ireland on the 29th of November, 1898. His real name is Clive Staples Lewis. In 1917 he left studies to a British army to fight World War 1. He was severly wounded but ended up healed and sent home in 1918. He finally got back to his studies. Soon he started writing books and here are some, The Chronicles of Narnia, Mere Christianity, The Allogory of Love, The Screw Tape Letters, The Space Trilogy, Till We Have Faces, and Suprised By Joy: The Shape of my early life. Most of his books are for childeren but grown ups enjoy them too. Clive also did stage, TV, and radio with his most popular book series, The Chronicles of Narnia. There are seven books in that series. Sadly he died in the 9th of April in 1973. I've read three of the chronicles of Narnia.

Falling action- The crow drops the cheese in it's beak and the fox takes it. Resultion- The fox gives her advice, " Don't trust flatterers!" The fox enjoyed the cheese.

Once upon a time there was a cookie, a Detective Cookie. He solved mysteries all the time! He always catches the criminal. He is getting in to his best investigation yet!! It was and Detective Cookie was watching a movie. Then suddenly the phone rang. Ding-aling!!!
“Hello this is Detective Cookie speaking,” said Detective Cookie.
“I just got ROBBED!! Please help me!” pleased the woman.
“Okay but first, your name?” asked Detective cookie.
“Marsh Mellow you can call me Marsh for short.” She said nicely.
“Location?” He asked.
“
Dreary Lane, Sweets Hotel,” She said quickly. “Just Hurry!!” Detective Cookie was on his way. When he walked in he saw a big case with nothing in it. He didn’t know what was going on, but he was about to find out!!
“Hi are you Detective Cookie?” Asked Ginger the gingerbread girl.
“Yes indeed I am,” said Detective Cookie. “I’m looking for Marsh Mellow.”
“Just a sec I’ll get her.” Said Ginger, but before she could go in her office Marsh came running out and the door slammed Ginger in the head.
“I’m not getting paid enough” complained Ginger.
“ Hi welcome to the sweets hotel,” Marsh said sweetly. “As you can see this is where the candy cane SHOULD be, but it’s not, someone stole it and it will start to shut down the whole hotel system!” She seemed afraid.
“Calm down mam we’ll find out who did it." he said and off he went looking for clues.
He saw rappers from chocolate bars and mini cereal boxes.
“This place is a dump,” He thought. “No wonder they stole the candy cane! It’s the only thing in this dump sweet and minty!”
“ Oh, and the crook is in the building!” Marsh shouted.
“Okay so the crook is in the building, must like chocolate bars and K- cereal,” He thought.
“Maybe it’s Oatmeal Raisin. The Preschool thief of crayons. Twenty-four pack and up. Marsh, do you no where Oatmeal raisin is?”
“Yes, room 304. Hurry computers are down!!” She complained. He went up the elevator. Knock-Knock!!
“Whose there?” the voice asked.
“Detective Cookie! I’m here for an interview about the missing candy cane. It’s an order from the owner. May I come in?” he asked.
“ Yes and Oh, I’m Oatmeal call me Oatis!” He said back. They had a long interview but a fun one!
“One more thing everyone uses alibibut where were you last night?” He asked. “In the lobby with coffee.” He said honestly. Not as serious as they thought. Detective Cookie went down the elevator smiling.
“So,” asked Marsh.
“So what,” He asked back.
“Did he do it?”
“Ohhhh, no.”
“Well find out who did!!”
“Okay okay!! I will.” He said annoyed. So away he went he asked two more people. Kitten number one from the three little kittens, and Grandma the creator and director of the Gingerbread man. The stories were interesting, but one has to leave! He thought about the bad things about the suspects. Oatis stole crayons. The kitten got in trouble a lot. And grandma wasn’t good at catching gingerbread men. Who could it be? The evidence isn’t in the clues. The witness is my spy in the bushes getting footage! I’ll ask him!! He talked to him for a while. Then they got the solution!Ginger may not be a suspect but she’s always in the lobby, gets mad at her boss Marsh, and loves candy. She just loves candy, I saw her in the footage eating candy nonstop!! The police came and arrested her, took her to candy jail [all you get to eat is candy to rot your teeth] and got the candy cane out of her office. Everything was back to normal!
“The case is solved!” he said then got back to his movie.
One day on the old frontier of Ohio, a girl was born. Her parents named her Nellie, Nellie Burner. When she grew to about thirteen, she was fast. She was the best runner ever! She didn’t want to be famous; she wanted to be a regular girl. One day the day of the spring festival she slipped away. She ran to the little empty cabin. In side were cobwebs, dust, but all the supplies known to man to live for about a month. As she picked up some coal to make a fire there was a knock. She got up and asked, “Who’s there?”
“Sally Betler, the one who lives here!” the girl answered.
“Oh, sorry I didn’t realize someone li...” but before she could finish Sally interrupted.
“Oh, that’s okay partner! I can’t live alone forever among the wild animals as fierce as Pecos Bill! Anyway what’s your name?”
“Nellie. I found this house and thought it was vacant. I am the fastest runner in that there town and I just want to be a regular girl.” Nellie sighed.
“Stay with me and we can try to fix your problem!” Sally exclaimed. After that it was dark out so they went to bed. In morning they woke up as early as a rooster and started a plan. They decided to tell the mayor to tell everyone that she wants to be regular. So off they went to the Mayors office and Sally said, “Dig dong duty it’s good to see you again mayor!”
“Hey Sally and Nellie! What’s the problem again ding dongs?”
“I would like you to tell the town to treat me normal and forget how fast I am!”
“Well okie doke diggily poke. I’ll do it now.” Finally she got treated how she wanted to. As well as a child playing. After that Nellie didn’t stop running. Actually she made the Ohio River on a trail she runs on every morning. It rained pretty hard. That’s how the water got in. She was certainly the fastest!
Days later a man came to town. And said he could beat Nellie to the lake ten miles away! She agreed to have a tournament! So they did and they ran fast, but Nellie ran faster. When she tripped and broke her leg. She couldn’t run so the man won. She had to stay in bed for days. When she got out she never took a serious challenge again. Then in twenty years she had children and told the story, but never said it was her.
